Disabled Veterans Golf Program in Greenville SC

One of the upcoming projects of Gravity Golf, Inc. is a swing development program for disabled military veterans interested in playing golf.

The training drills that have been created for the Gravity Golf teaching system, are perfectly suited for proper swing development in physically challenged individuals.  We instill technically perfect mechanics into our students by teaching them from a standpoint of weakness and instability, instead of from a mode of strength and stability, which is the way the game of golf has traditionally been taught.  For example: by training with either arm alone and from one leg alone, strength and balance are compromised to the point that the brain instinctively teaches the player to utilize body mass instead of muscle to power the swing.  Just as a child teaches itself to stop toddling so that walking upright is safer and more efficient, the magnificent brain can show a person (totally by feel) how to deal with a physical handicap through the development of superior swing mechanics.

These learning techniques work beautifully for people missing an arm, or leg, or both.  It's quite amazing to see how far and accurately one can hit a golf ball with only one arm while standing on one foot.  In the past we have taught many physically challenged people who are astounded at how well they can move a golf ball once they learn the principles and "trick" to mass release through impact.  There is actually an exact recipe for doing it.  Discovering that losing an arm or leg doesn't preclude them from playing golf, is often a life altering experience.
